[edit] Plot
I hear you'd do anything to get a part.
Nozomi is a college graduate, in the big city of Tokyo for the first time. She hopes to evolve her high-school stage experience into a career as a genuine actress. So far, she has managed to get jobs as a naive, virginal country-girl pin-up symbol.
Lana is a seasoned pro, having spent time performing in movies that are far from legitimate. Hoping to leave her horrible past behind and start anew in Japan's metropolis, she has only managed to secure her reputation as a sexually indiscriminate woman.
They share a Tokyo apartment owned by the talent agency they share. For a while, things appear to be working out.
Well, not for long.
Not only differences between them are driving them apart, they are also vying for the lead role in a feature film, 'The Yazuka's Wife', and for a man they both like.
Two drastically different personalities + one setting = an epic war.

Yukihiko Tsutsumi and Ryuhei Kitamura each finished their contributions to the short film anthology Jam Films (2002) in record time. As a result producer Shinya Kawai gave the two directors a proposal to each create a feature-length movie with only two actors, battling in one setting and filmed entirely in seven days. The undertaking was called the Duel Project.
2LDK was Yukihiko Tsutsumi's result and Ryuhei Kitamura's Aragami (2002) was the other Duel film.
