Acceptable Titles
Episode Number and Series Fields
- Anime Name + Episode Number
(If there is no other information provided)
Example: Air 10
- Anime Name + Episode Number . Part Number
(If the video is split into more than one part which usually happens with Anime movies)
Example: Mind Game - 1.4
- Note: Do not approve anime episodes that are split into parts unless it is a special episode that is longer than the conventional 30-minute episode. The length of a particular episode of a series can be found on AniDB.
Name Field
- Episode + Number
(If no episode title is provided simply write the the episode number if it hasn't already been automatically provided)
Example: Air 10 has "Episode 10" in the Name field
- Episode Title
(If the uploader provided the title of the episode or you found it on your own)
Example: Nana 8 has "Strawberry Glass and Lotus Flower" in the Name field
- Note: Try to title the description in the same way most of the episodes in the series are titled. For example, if every episode in a series uses "Episode + Number" format, use that format even if the uploader provides the title.
Description Field
This field should be left empty most of the time since it's not visible to normal users. You may put mod related notes for yourself or other mods here if you think it's necessary. If you a series has recently become unlicensed, you should note it here. Also note here if you are reuploading a video that has already been uploaded but contains better subtitles or is of better quality (in general).
Adding a Series
TV Series
Make sure it is not licensed and copy the necessary information (summary, genres, release year) from ANN. Check AniDB for any missing information.
The title should be copied from ANN (omit the "TV" part in most circumstances). If the title on ANN includes any forbidden characters (apostrophes, commas, and any special characters) check for an alternate title (in English) that omits those characters. Alternate titles can be found on ANN and AniDB.
OVAs/OAVs
An OVA (Original Video Animation) and an OAV (Original Animated Video) are the same thing. The format of the title should be Title + OVA. Never use OAV.
Example: Hunter x Hunter OVA
To find necessary information for an OVA, use the same method outlined under TV Series.
Movies
The format of a movie title should be Title - Movie.
Example: Toki wo Kakeru Shoujo - Movie
To find necessary information for a movie, use the same method outlined under TV Series.
Proper Tags
cr+series id number (example: cr100) (This must be added to all series pages)
For genres, use the ones found on ANN for the series/movie. If nothing is provided for genres, use AniDB.
Note:Always change Science Fiction to "SciFi".
Removing Media
When removing media, copy the media ID from the URL and paste it in the textarea for deleting media at the bottom of the page. Then click on "Delete Media." If you have time, please put 'DELETE ME (Reasoning)' because it helps users whose media has been removed understand why their media was removed, which will prevent confusion.
Online Information Sources
These two sites will give you most of the information you will need. If they do not contain the necessary information, google search it (http://www.google.com/).
