  • Videos in flv. format (note: MVs (Music Videos) are exempt from this rule, but CR does not accept Chinese, Japanese, and Korean MVs in .flv format, due to the fact these are readily available in other video formats.)

Video Statuses

Could not Encode - is when the encoder cannot detect the codec of the video. We recommend that you convert the file to AVI and re-upload it
Uploaded - waiting to be encoded by an available encoder (may take an eternity)
Encoding - your video is encoding, total time will depend on your file size and video length
Encoded - waiting to be approved/disapproved by a media moderator
Duplicate - the video has already on the site
Approved - your video has been approved and is viewable to the public, unless it's labeled 'removed' or 'delete'
Not Approved - in this case there are different reasons to be disapproved (refer to the next section for some reasons).

Why Was My Video Disapproved?

  • Uploaded under the wrong section
  • Corrupted (poorly encoded, no sound, poor video quality, not complete)
  • No English subtitles (applies to anime/drama episodes)
  • Subtitles by a restricted fansub group (refer to the forum link at the top)
  • Poorly labelled (hard to understand what the video is)
  • Lack of information or details about the video
  • Licensed
  • Not East/Southeast Asian
  • A .flv, .rm, .rmvb, or .3gp video and (unless subtitles are unneeded or it's hardsubbed) .mkv
  • It was a "get_video"
